Take Valentine’s Day to New Heights with Zip World’s Date Flights

For couples bored of the usual Valentine’s Day routine, an adventure operator in Wales is offering an alternative that swaps candlelit dinners for high-speed zip lines.

This Valentine’s Day, Zip World is inviting couples to take part in its Valentine’s Date Flights, a night-time zip line experience followed by food and drinks at one of its on-site restaurants. The experience is available at two locations across Wales and is designed for pairs who want to do something a little different together.

At Zip World Penrhyn Quarry in North Wales, couples can take on Velocity, the world’s fastest zip line, reaching speeds of up to 100mph as they fly head-first through the quarry. After the adrenaline rush, guests can sit down for a meal and a drink at the Blondin Restaurant, with live acoustic music from a local artist playing throughout the evening.

In South Wales, Zip World Tower offers a side-by-side flight on Phoenix, the world’s fastest seated zip line, where riders can reach speeds of up to 70mph. The experience finishes with a meal and drink at Cegin Glo, the site’s on-location restaurant.

Each Valentine’s Day bundle includes a fully guided zip line experience lasting up to two hours, a meal for two and a drink per person. Live music is included at the Penrhyn Quarry location only.

The Date Flights are aimed at couples looking to share a memorable experience — whether that’s trying something new or simply escaping the pressure of a traditional Valentine’s night out.

More details about Zip World’s Valentine’s Day experiences are available on the company’s website.
