Trinity Homecare celebrates South West care awards shortlisting success

Four outstanding individuals from Trinity Homecare, a leading live-in and visiting care provider, have reached the finals of the South West Great British Care Awards.

The Bristol team has also been shortlisted in a fifth category, with the regional winners set to be announced on Thursday 19th November before progressing on to the national finals next spring.

The awards aim to recognise and pay tribute to those who demonstrate outstanding dedication and achievement within the care sector, with a range of categories highlighting individuals and organisations across the region.

Trinity Homecare’s Bristol branch has been named among the finalists for The Home Care Team Award, which recognises exceptional care, support and community co-ordination being delivered in non-residential settings.

Within the individual categories, Business Development Manager Katie Leighton has been recognised in The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award, for her role in supporting individuals returning home after a hospital stay.

Her fellow Business Development Manager Nicola Hobbs has reached the finals of The Co-Production Award category, which highlights individuals who value and embed lived experience into the design, shaping and delivery of care services.

Nicola Waghorn, Trinity’s Group Head of HR and Learning and Development, joined the company in 2017 and has been recognised in The Three Rs Award shortlist for her commitment to recruitment, retention and recognition.

And Katarzyna Nowicka has reached the finals in The Home Care Worker Award. Katarzyna is a live-in carer who goes above and beyond to provide support and person-centred care.

Simon Yeoman, Managing Director of Trinity Homecare, said: “It is fantastic to see Katie, Nicola, Nicola, Katarzyna and the Bristol team recognised by the judges. We are looking forward to celebrating the regional care sector at the South West Great British Care Awards finals, and we are of course immensely proud to have been shortlisted within five different categories.

“The judges were clearly able to see that the four finalists, and the wider team based in Bristol, are committed to providing the very best care and enhancing the lives of residents across the region. We are very proud of them, and their incredible contribution to Trinity, to the care sector, and to the wider community.”

Trinity Homecare provides award-winning care in people’s own homes, rated by the CQC as outstanding – with compassionate person-centred live-in and visiting support delivered by expert teams across the UK.
