UniTaskr taps into Gen Z digital talent with new social media manager service

UniTaskr, the fast-growing tech platform that helps students find flexible work opportunities, has launched a new service pairing businesses with digital-savvy social media managers.

UniTaskr’s new social media manager offering harnesses Gen Z’s digital know-how to give businesses affordable, creative support online while offering students valuable, longer term, paid work experience in the field.

The service is currently available in the UK, with a US pilot planned within the next 12 months. With prices starting at £399 a month, UniTaskr offers three different packages for businesses to choose from, including content creation across multiple platforms, community management, content calendar creation and monthly reporting.

All student social media managers will be fully verified by UniTaskr to ensure their competency via a four-stage process and will be provided with ongoing support, training, tools and resources to set themselves up for success.

Furthermore, UniTaskr frees businesses to focus on doing what they do best by handling administrative burdens such as payroll, ensuring a smooth experience and guaranteeing that social media managers are always paid for their work.

Launched by Joseph Black and Oliver Jacobs in 2019, UniTaskr has stayed true to its mission to revolutionise the gig economy by enabling companies to outsource tasks to students. The platform has since evolved into a thriving ecosystem with a workforce of 350,000 skilled students and clients that include world famous brands such as Adobe, Amazon, Uber Eats and Red Bull.

Jenny Welsh, Head of Growth and Strategy at UniTaskr said: “From speaking to employers up and down the country, it’s clear that so many graduates don’t have the hands-on experience businesses are looking for when hiring. At the same time, social media is something that many small business owners simply don’t have the time to dedicate to, so their online presence suffers.

“It’s a no-brainer to give students who are naturally tech-savvy the opportunity to gain real work experience with time-poor businesses who may not be clued up on the latest social media trends. It’s also a cost-effective choice for businesses and takes away a lot of the stress of hiring an agency, for instance, as we handle everything for them. Helping young people access these valuable opportunities is what we’re passionate about, and we’re excited to see our social media managers flourish.”

Underpinned by a multi-platform ecosystem that successfully supports job creation, skill-building, and brand-student collaboration, UniTaskr is quickly revolutionising the path from education to employment, and over the last 24 months alone has expanded from the UK into the US.
