We are encouraging residents to get behind local and national efforts to provide much-needed support for the people of Ukraine – in particular those who have fled the country and are seeking refuge in neighbouring countries.
Please find below some links to some of the organisations involved in raising funds to support the emergency response.
By following the links, you can find out what each organisation is doing to help and make donations directly.
Other ways to donate
If you have a M&S Sparks loyalty card you can change your chosen charity to UNICEF & they have doubled their donation to 2p every time you shop & use your Sparks card to help the children of Ukraine
If you shop on Amazon you can use Amazon smile to donate to some of the charities above every time you purchase. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases. If you already use Smile consider swapping your charity to one of the ones above.
Here in Cornwall, we’re appealing to residents to do what they can to support these efforts by donating essential items needed by those displaced by the war.
Some of these items will hopefully also be delivered over the border to Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.
Any help you can give will be gratefully received.
