TWC set to unveil £250,000 home improvement showroom

One of Wiltshire’s leading home improvement specialists will officially open the doors on its new £250,000 Swindon showroom this weekend.

TWC, which has been supporting homeowners for more than 30 years, is expecting to welcome more than 1000 people to its 5000 sq ft facility on Elgin Industrial Estate between Friday and Sunday.

Swindon Town legend Don Rogers will cut the ribbon at midday on July 8th to mark three days of celebrations that include a promise to ‘beat any like-for-like quote’, the start of fundraising activity for Prospect Hospice and the big reveal of its extensive windows and doors selections – believed to be the largest in the South West.

The showroom marks an exciting eighteen months for the business that has also seen it increase sales by 30%, embrace new design technology to improve the customer experience and, importantly, boost its workforce by creating seven new jobs.

“It really has been a whirlwind period, with global supply chain issues causing us numerous headaches, not least a lack of skilled labour. Because of this we had to use our own installers on the build, so had to juggle the demands of our own showroom with ensuring our customer projects were all completed on time,” explained Joseph Heaton, Director at TWC.

“This has really added to the quality and finish of our building, and we can’t wait to open the doors and show existing and new customers the new-look TWC.”

He went on to add: “The Elgin Drive location is well-known by local people as the old Blades building and gives us additional space to be more creative and to showcase our increasing range of doors, windows and living spaces.

“We’re having a soft ‘private opening’ event on Thursday to thank everyone involved in the project and our closest suppliers, whilst Friday will see Swindon Town winger Don Rogers complete the official opening. There’ll be chance for visitors to meet him and get pics, as well as enjoy some food and drink on us.”

TWC, which became part of the Conservatory Outlet at the end of 2018, has evolved into a leading home improvement specialist, providing high quality products fitted by its own in-house team of experts.

Its new showroom offers the largest window and door showcase in the South West, featuring more than 20 different doors and an extensive selection of UPVC and aluminium windows in many shapes, sizes and colours.

Five living spaces have been created to stir the imagination of homeowners and will help illustrate different roof styles, ranging from glass and solid to the increasingly popular lantern roofs that let in an abundance of light.

Andy Hill, Managing Director of TWC, went on to add: “Our designers have loved the freedom of the new showroom and the additional space they have to showcase to customers what we can install in their properties.

“In addition to the actual products, we also have lots of TV screens and iPads that can show clients exactly how our new windows and doors would look on their property or how they could turn the spare room into a new home office or space for the grandchildren.”

TWC is very proud of its Wiltshire roots and has named Prospect Hospice as its charity of the year.

This starts at the weekend when every visitor will be entered into a £500 prize draw, which will see one lucky winner walk off with £250 and the same amount going to the excellent work of the local charity.

Greg Kane, CEO of Conservatory Outlet, added his support: “It has been fantastic to see the growth of TWC and the ambition the business has to become the biggest and best home improvement specialist in the South West.

“The showroom is an important next step in achieving this vision and will help improve the customer experience even further – something that is at the heart of the network and how Conservatory Outlet operates.”
