A leading health and social care company which runs a hospital in Gloucester for women with mental health difficulties has announced its sponsorship of the Gloucester Hartpury Women’s Rugby Club.
Cygnet Health Care operates Cygnet Alders Clinic, on Podsmead Road, a 20 bed rehabilitation service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs.
The health and social care company said it is delighted to be supporting this team of women on their pursuit this season to retain the Allianz Premier 15s Championship.
Mandy Sellers, Operations Director for Cygnet Health Care in the South West said the company has a proud history of supporting sport teams with the aim of promoting the positive effect of sport on mental health and wellbeing.
She added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Hartpury Women’s Rugby Club in Gloucester and believe we have a mutual passion for female empowerment and the role that sport can play in improving people’s mental health and wellbeing.
“Our local Cygnet Alders Clinic supports and cares for women with complex mental health needs and this partnership will provide them with opportunities to get involved and develop active interests to increase their confidence and self-esteem.”
