This collaboration is set to generate significant financial savings while advancing the group’s sustainability goals.

SGT approached Tudor Hotels Collection to assess the energy tariffs of the company’s five properties. The assessment revealed that each location had multiple tariffs linked to various meters throughout the premises, leading to inefficiencies and unnecessary costs.

After an in-depth analysis, SGT recommended consolidating all meters under a single energy tariff and implementing a voltage optimisation system. Voltage optimisation is a proven method of controlling the amount of electricity entering a property. While typical supply voltage ranges from 240 to 260 volts, most appliances operate efficiently at 220 volts. By optimising voltage levels, businesses can achieve savings of 15 to 20% on energy bills while reducing their carbon footprint.

Tudor Hotels Collection decided to first focus on unifying all energy contracts under a single tariff. By consolidating these contracts, the group could leverage its energy usage to secure a more favourable tariff, reducing costs and streamlining administrative processes.

By July 2024, SGT had initiated the transition, aiming to ensure all energy contracts within Tudor Hotels Collection operate under a unified agreement by 2026. This initiative supports the group’s commitment to seamlessly integrating modern efficiency with classic luxury across its portfolio.

With SGT’s expertise, Tudor Hotels Collection expects to achieve annual savings of £100,000. Additionally, reducing the number of individual energy invoices will result in substantial administrative cost savings, as each invoice traditionally incurs a processing fee of approximately £50.
