Go.Compare teams up with football legend Ian Wright to launch new campaign, plus £50 travel reward scheme

Go.Compare has joined forces with football icon Ian Wright to celebrate its brand new Now That’s Savvy campaign, launching nationwide today.
Known for his infectious energy, warmth and broad national appeal, Ian Wright fronts the new advertising campaign as Go.Compare’s “face of savviness”, as he salutes the UK general public for their savvy decisions.
From taking the utmost care of their cars and protecting their prized pooches to grabbing themselves £50 off hotels and flights, people across the UK know that small changes can make a big difference and are making smart moves every day with Go.Compare.
And there’s even more for customers to feel good about this year. Go.Compare has unveiled Go.Getaway, a brand-new reward scheme, which gives customers £50 towards their next trip when they take out an eligible car or home insurance policy through the site.
After buying a policy, customers can choose either £50 off a flight (via Opodo) or £50 off a hotel booking (using Travel Credits).* It’s designed to add a little extra joy – and a little extra savvy – to everyday life. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
Now That’s Savvy builds on Go.Compare’s refreshed brand platform, continuing its mission to help UK consumers make smarter financial decisions.
Ian Wright said of the collaboration:
“I’m really happy to be involved with a brand that really thinks about their customers and how to give them a great experience, as well as supports grassroots sports in their local communities. The whole campaign is about being savvy and that’s an amazing skill to have, now more than ever, and something I wanted to help celebrate in a fun way.”
Since 2007, Go.Compare has helped millions of people take control of their finances by making confident, informed decisions about insurance and other essential services. ‘Now That’s Savvy’ marks the next step in that mission, bringing even more value to customers while shining a spotlight on the pride that comes from finding a great deal.
Josh Tumbridge, Head of Brand and Campaigns at Go.Compare, said:
“‘Now That’s Savvy’ champions something we want all Go.Compare customers to feel: pride in finding a great deal.
“Ian Wright brings that spirit to life perfectly as he celebrates the ways customers up and down the country are making smart choices with Go.Compare. And with Go.Getaway, we’re adding another layer of value for customers who choose to shop around with us – a bonus saving on their next trip away.”

About Go.Compare
Go.Compare is a comparison website that enables people to compare the costs and features of a wide variety of insurance policies, financial products and energy tariffs.
It does not charge people to use its services and does not accept advertising or sponsored listings, so all product comparisons are unbiased. Go.Compare makes its money through fees paid by the providers of products that appear on its various comparison services when a customer buys through the site.
When it launched in 2006, it was the first comparison site to focus on displaying policy details rather than just listing prices, with the aim of helping people to make better-informed decisions when buying their insurance. It is this approach to comparing products that secured the company an invitation to join the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) in 2008, and it is still the only comparison site to be a member of this organisation.
Go.Compare has remained dedicated to helping people choose the most appropriate products rather than just the cheapest and works with Defaqto, the independent financial researcher, to integrate additional policy information into a number of its insurance comparison services. This allows people to compare up to an extra 30 features of cover.
Go.Compare is part of Future Plc and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
