Police Appeal for Help to Find Missing Weston-super-Mare Man Last Seen on Thursday

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing 52-year-old man from Weston-super-Mare amid growing concerns for his welfare.

Avon and Somerset Police have launched an urgent appeal to locate Scott, who has not been seen since Thursday 23 July.

Scott, from Weston-super-Mare, is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, with a slim build and short dark hair.

Officers say they are increasingly concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone who may have seen him, or who has information about his whereabouts, to come forward immediately.

The appeal has prompted a large-scale search involving specialist search and rescue organisations. According to reports, volunteers from Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) Search & Rescue joined police over the weekend, carrying out searches on land and water around the Bleadon area, south of Weston-super-Mare. They were supported by several other specialist teams, including Exmoor Search and Rescue Team, Wessex 4×4 Response, Mendip Cave Rescue Search, the Rescue Dog Association and HM Coastguard. Despite extensive efforts, Scott has not yet been found.
